DUI driver crashes into tree, knocks down power lines in Willow Creek
WILLOW CREEK- A DUI driver knocked down a tree and power lines in Northern Humboldt on Thursday.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol were on scene until 2:30 Friday morning after the driver of a 1997 Subaru Legacy crashed into a tree. The collision occurred just before 9 Friday night on Country Club Road near Seeley Mc Intosh Road in Willow Creek. The driver, 46-year-old Charles Horton fled the scene after the collision. The owner of the Subaru called CHP to report the incident and Horton was located at the residence. There were no injuries. Horton was arrested for driving under the influence.
