EUREKA- To celebrate Earth Day community members gathered at Sequoia Park to pick up trash and garbage. The cleanup was organized by the City of Eureka to bring local residents together to take pride in their park.
Girl Scouts, preschool students and Humboldt State University students helped to pick up garbage throughout the park. Children took part in creating reusable art from plastic bottles. The city provided pickers, gloves and garbage bags to those helping out.
A the cleanup volunteers were rewarded with a toasty hotdog and snacks.
