Eureka - An email scam to report this time concerning American Express.
Friday, a Cutten woman called News Channel 3 saying she received an email telling her there had been a breach into her account and she should log on to an address the suspects provided as new charges may have gone onto her card. They also said she would be declined for future purchases. Instead of doing what they asked, she called American Express directly and they assured her it was a scam and that they were probably looking for personal information.
When in doubt about any communication that seems too good to be true or out of the ordinary, don’t fall for such fraud. Call the police or talk directly to the company in question.
