EPD showing support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month
EUREKA It’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month as well as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Eureka Police Department is doing their part to spread awareness.
Each member of the EPD is wearing a purple ribbon during all of April to show solidarity for victims of sexual assault and child abuse. EPD officials say the goal is to bring attention to these often hidden crimes. If you would like to get a purple ribbon of your own to spread awareness, you can pick one up at the Eureka Police Department at 604 C Street in Eureka.
