EPD's Officer of the Year makes over 75 DUI arrests
EUREKA- The 41st annual Eureka Police Officer’s Association awards banquet was held on Saturday where several employees and officers were recognized for their service and dedication over the last calendar year.
Several received honors including Officer Ryan McElroy who was chosen as rookie of year arresting over 250 people during 2012-2013. Pamlyn Millsap received the Pat Mitchell award named after former EPD officer who died in the line of service in 1974.
Officer Greg Hill was chosen as Officer of the Year. Hill has been with the department for over eight years and was recognized for his traffic enforcement efforts for writing over 900 traffic citations and making over 75 DUI arrests this year. He also received his eighth certificate from the Mother’s Against Drunk Driving for drunk-driving related arrests.
