Eureka Books gets a facelift, community votes for new color scheme
EUREKA- It has been around twenty years since Eureka Books in Old Town was last painted, and with help from the community, they have decided on a new look.
The building has been around since 1879 and the bookstore has been there for nearly two decades. The community was invited to help choose the new color scheme by voting online last month. Store manager Jen Card said "We certainly wanted their input, Old Town is a gem for all of us in Eureka.”
Almost 1,000 votes were cast and Card said she is more than happy with what the public chose, “We could not make a decision and so we needed other people to step in and help us get to the finish line. It is long overdue, the building really needed a facelift."
