Eureka motorcycle crash sends 22-year-old to hospital
EUREKA- A motorcycle crash sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital. The accident happened at 17th and H street just after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital by ambulance but was conscious after the crash. Office Dave Chapman with the Eureka Police Department said he was in stable condition.
Chapman said the the motorcyclist appears to have been driving over the speed limit and that speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
The Yamaha motorcycle was traveling southbound on H Street when he allegedly broadsided the Toyota sedan which was driving west on 17th. Whether or not the driver of the sedan stopped at the stop sign has not been determined said Chapman.
