EUREKA - Eureka Police were led on a short two-block pursuit early Friday morning. The suspect? A goat.

Officers received a call around 4 a.m. of a goat in a person’s front yard. They responded to the home near Everdeen and Union Street.

The goat led the officers on a chase but was finally coerced with carrots.

Officers then transported the goat in the back of their patrol car to police headquarters.

The goat quickly became a station favorite and was named Larry, though they later found out he was a she!

Larry is staying at the County Farm in Fortuna while officers look for her owner.
