Eureka Police take to the basketball court against Zane

Instead of traveling out of area for March Madness, Eureka Police and Zane Middle School had just the thing for basketball fans.

On Thursday night, the Zane eighth grade basketball team went up against members from the EPD. Police Chief Andrew Mills even took to the court with his famous jump shot.

It was the third annual “Hoops for Hero’s” and included a pre-game barbeque. But once the game started, it was all business for Zane. The Eureka police gave it their all but the Falcons came out on top winning 58-41.

Zane now has a 2-1 series lead.
