Eureka teen arrested for alleged pellet gun shooting
Eureka Police have arrested an 18-year-old Eureka High Student they believe is responsible for shooting two other students with a pellet gun last week.
Christian John Kay was arrested around 3:30 Thursday afternoon. Kay is accused of shooting at a group of students during lunchtime Thursday, November 7 near L and Del Norte Street.
Police said one student was hit in the chest and one was hit in the back. Family members of one of the students tells News Channel Three the pellet was lodged in his chest and required emergency surgery.
Kay is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Humboldt County jail on $50,000 bail.
