Fall projects planned in Arcata

ARCATA- With the rainy season arriving, construction projects should be taking erosion control measures.

"Best Management Practices should be in place for city projects across the state. The bmp's make sure soil and other materials from construction sites do not go down the storm drain.

The City of Arcata says those plans will help protect the city's creeks, wetlands and Humboldt Bay.

Also in Arcata drivers will see road work all over the city starting next week. The Public Work's Department is working on sewer manhole and mainline repairs.

The projects start on Monday and will are expected to be done by November 21st. Drivers should expect controlled traffic at the locations on your screen.
