GARBERVILLE- A fatal accident Tuesday night in southern Humboldt killed a man when he crashed his motorcycle into a ditch after evading police.
CHP said the man was driving over 70 mph on his sport motorcycle southbound on Redwood Drive, when an officer attempted to pull him over. The motorcycle then took off onto Briceland Road where the officer stopped the pursuit due to dangerous road conditions. Nearly 45 minutes later the officer discovered the motorcycle had crashed into a ditch on Old Briceland Road where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver’s name is unknown at this time pending identification.
