FBI searching for suspect in McKinleyville bank robbery
The FBI and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a bank robbery that took place last year in McKinleyville.
It happened at the Bank of America on Central Avenue. The suspect brandished a handgun, made a verbal demand for money and jumped over the counter to place the stolen money in a white trash bag.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and is described as a black male in his 30s, about 5’9 inches”, weighing 170 lbs. and having a mustache. Witnesses report seeing a white sports utility vehicle fleeing the scene after the robbery.
