FERNDALE- The long awaited honor-wall was unveiled in Ferndale Monday morning. Ferndale's Kenneth Rasmussen Post No. 6353 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars said it took six months to plan and organize the event. The wall is meant to recognize the sacrifices and services of local veterans both living and deceased.
Family and friends gathered around for the unveiling and people took pictures of loved one’s names on the wall as veterans searched for their own. The wall is made up of bricks engraved with the names and service branch of local veterans from the North Coast and consists of three separate walls with over 300 names total.
