EUREKA- Preparations are underway for the annual Fourth of July Festival in Eureka.
This is the 13th year that Eureka Main Street is organizing the event. Almost 100 vendors, music, rides and even a petting zoo will be featured. Organizers expect more than 11,000 people to attend the celebration.
"On the Fourth of July, the Second Street in Eureka and Old Town is just filled with people that have come from all over as vendors and people who just want to enjoy the day. And I think that's what the Fourth of July is all about is coming together as a community to celebrate the birth of our nation,” said Amanda Kruschke, the Assistant Director of Eureka Main Street.
