Fire officials prepare for major disaster on North Coast
EUREKA- Members of Humboldt Bay Fire has just completed training across the country to prepare for regional type disasters.
The federally funded program through FEMA. There, participants were instructed on how to respond to some of the most serious disasters in the country, such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and tornados.
Battalion Chief Chris Emmons said the training will help prepare the department for a serious emergency.
