Fire Update: Corral, Salmon River, Butler Wildfire
The Corral Complex fire continues to spread, growing to 11,777 and is seven percent contained. Crews expect fire activity to increase over the next couple of days. Weather has allowed crews to hit the fire directly. Crews will work on containment lines west of the fire.
The Salmon River complex fire is close to full containment, 95%, the fire has burned 14,720 acres. Crew will work to secure the area of Jackass Gulch which has not been burned. Crews will work to mop up areas that have burned and monitor the area for new fires.
Improved visibility has helped crews fight the Butler fire which is burning near Forks of Salmon. The fire has burned 21,217 acres and is 45 percent contained. Firefighters will work to monitor the fire and work on fire suppression near the Butler Creek area.
