Former Del Norte Boxer Buckskin dies

The North Coast is mourning the loss of Roger Buckskin Senior.  The Del Norte resident was a professional boxer in the 1970’s.

 

As a child, he trained with his three sisters; Emily, Teresa and Darlene. Buckskin won his first seven bouts and finished his career with 23 victories.

 

Away from the ring, he worked for the Crescent City Public Works department for 30 years.

 

Buckskin leaves behind four children. He was 63 years-old.
