Former Eureka City Manager David Tyson is back working for the city. He’s helping out Interim City Manager Mike Knight while the council looks for a permanent person.
Tyson vacated the position last December after 12 years of service. Bill Panos came in from Sacramento in January and left in October for a job at the Wyoming Governor’s Office.
Tyson said he started Monday and he’s working on several projects to keep the city’s initiatives moving forward. He said some of those projects include working on a plan to renew pension obligation bonds and developing a plan for economical development.
Tyson is unsure how long the job will be. He said it could be anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months.
