Former Eureka Councilman to run for 4th District Humboldt County Supervisor

EUREKA- A former Eureka City Council member will run against incumbent Virginia Bass for the Humboldt County 4th District Supervisor seat. Chris Kerrigan announced his plans to run for the position in front of supporters at the Humboldt County Election Office on Friday.

"Humboldt is waiting for its Eureka moment," Kerrigan said in his speech. He previously served on the Eureka City Council for two terms and is a fourth generation Humboldt County Resident.

He said his main priority is to pass a an update to the Humboldt County General Plan. Kerrigan said he will work to develop a county wide trail system, develop local manufacturing jobs in technology and increase air service to the region. "The first thing we can do is get a plan that represents the new economy," he said.
