Former Fortuna Pastor Pleads Guilty To Molestation Charges
The former Fortuna Pastor who turned himself in for lewd and lascivious acts with a child plead guilty in a tense courtroom Thursday. 90-year-old Donald Vincent Fregeau Senior plead guilty to all charges filed against him.
Murder suspect, Sean Hawk, was brought down by bailiffs after he attempted to attack Fregeau in the courtroom. Hawk, who is the suspect in an Orleans hit and run in February, was taken out of the courtroom.
Fregeau's attorney is seeking parole for the suspects sentencing. Fregeau could face up to 16 years in prison for the three counts against him.
The Fortuna Police Department arrested Fregeau under Penal Code 288, which is lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. Fregeau originally confessed to police in June. Police said previously they had heard the acts have been going on for decades, and a victim had come forward.
Fregeau will face sentencing in December.
