The public will be able to access free public wifi at the Arcata Public Library. The City of Arcata worked with the Arcata library to make access to the internet easier. Guests will be able to access the internet on wifi capable devices.
City Hall, the Arcata Plaza and the Community Center all have free wifi available to the community.
“The wifi helps a lot of people who come to the library to do school work or for their jobs and
also our homeless patrons, anyone who has their own device to get on the internet,” says Arcata
Librarian Nick Wilczek.
The services will be available during Arcata Library business hours, which are from noon to 5
p.m. on Tuesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday, and from noon
to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
