Two suspects wanted for a homicide in Fresno were booked into the Humboldt County Jail Thursday.
Agents with the Department of Fish and Wildlife arrested Brandon Forrest and Samuel Whitmore, both 25-years-old. They were wanted by Fresno Police as the suspects in the alleged stabbing death of a Fresno area tattoo artist. Police say the incident last week was caught on surveillance.
Local officers D.F.W. officers say it was a routine check of fishing permits that led to the arrests. Both Forrest and Whitmore were fishing at mouth of Eel River when wardens contacted them, ran their names, and found warrants for their arrest. Officials say neither Forrest nor Whitmore resisted the arrest.
