Now fourteen years old, the tiny home phenomenon is growing rapidly. Now, many people are seeing value to the small homes on wheels, alternatives to cost prohibitive traditional homes. The tiny homes (200 square feet) can cost $20,000 to $60,000 but they circumvent zoning and construction regulations. Two men are building tiny homes locally and say they need one so they can work and live in the same place. They are farmers and builders and believe that they need a home close to where they would work. So while controversial, tiny homes are growing in popularity.
