Green Report -- What Happens to the Greenwaste?

Green waste damages the environment.  So it is necessary for you to put your green waste in the trash, if you do not compost it yourself.  That is far better than disposing of it by the side of the road.  Humboldt County's green waste goes to the Mad River Compost Facility where it is scientifically seasoned for re-use as fertilizer.  Teresa Green, who, with her husband Wes Green, owns the facility, said that Arcata residents can dump green waste free.  Others can at a reduced rate.

The facility is a social gathering spot for people from throughout the region, celebrating the idea of doing the right thing environmentally.
