Green's Fortuna Pharmacy opens after historic fire
FORTUNA - An important business in Fortuna that was displaced because of the historic fire is back open and serving the friendly city.
Greens Pharmacy was one of five casualties whose business went up in flames almost two weeks ago. They were trying to get right back on their feet but red tape with new licenses and permits was going to take weeks.
A call to Supervisors Rex Bohn and Estelle Fennell started the ball rolling. That phone tree set in to motion calls to Mike McGuire’s office and the new state senator had his chief of staff personally handle the matter with state agencies. Fortuna citizens now have their medications at their fingertips and are breathing a little easier. It’s all due to a ground swell of help from the community and local and state representatives who stood tall.
