EUREKA- Two rifles, several loaded magazines, marijuana and methamphetemine were allegedly found following a traffic stop in Eureka.
The driver, Gerald Gerarden, of Eureka, was found to have a felony warrant as well as a suspended license.
The stop happened on the 3500 block of Broadway at 12:28 a.m. Monday. One of the rifles was determined to be stolen from Nevada. Gerarden was arrested for weapon and drug possession violations.
In connection to the traffic stop, Eureka Police's POP Unit served a search warrant at two Eureka residences. Detectives seized an illegal modified rifle with a cut down barrel, a 12 gauge shotgun, a 22 revolver, and a replica BB gun. The investigation is ongoing.
