Harbor District aquires $2 million from PG&E, will purchase new dredge
HUMBOLDT COUNTY- For the first time the Humboldt Bay Harbor District will own its own dredge, thanks to PG&E. The company gave the Harbor District $2 million to either buy a new dredge or build their own. Along with the money the district now has the authority to dredge Fisherman's Channel in King Salmon, which was previously in the hands of PG&E.
The new dredge will help both the Fisherman’s Channel and Woodley Island Marina where in previous years the district had to hire to dredge.
