Heroin, loaded syringes allegedly found with abandoned infant

EUREKA- Heroin, scales and loaded syringes were allegedly found along with an unattended infant in the Lundbar Hills area.

Eureka Police's Problem Oriented Policing Unit did a probation search at the 100 block of Boyle street Thursday at 1:18 p.m.

The child, between six months and one year of age, was found alone upstairs said authorities. Detectives said two people fled the home. Child Welfare Services took the child into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, EPD plans to file charges once the two suspects have been identified.
