High-speed pursuit ends in major injury crash in Manila
MANILA- A high-speed pursuit ends in a major injury crash in Manila Monday afternoon.
It happened around 4 p.m. on Highway 255 near Pacific Avenue. California Highway Patrol Officers said a man driving a motorcycle failed to pull over for a traffic stop near the Samoa Cookhouse and took off. The suspect then led officers onto southbound Highway 255 and reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour before crashing into another vehicle, and then landing in a ditch on the opposite side of the road.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Both northbound and southbound lanes of highway 255 between Carlson and Pacific Avenue were closed. Stay with News Channel 3 as the story develops.
