FORTUNA- The Fortuna Garden Club’s annual Christmas Home Tour and Tea kicked off at the Monday Club Wednesday afternoon. There, visitors could have tea and desserts, admire Christmas decorations and participate in a holiday raffle. There were four homes on the tour this year, each with a different decorative style.
The money raised from the tours and raffle will go towards scholarships for high schoolers, civic improvement projects, and the club’s annual daffodil show.
“We have lots of good, goodies the club members have made,” said Judy Sloma, a Fortuna Garden Club member. “I think gardeners make good cooks usually so we have lots of goodies. It's fun. It's seasonal. It's just a good way to get into the holiday spirit.”
