ARCATA - The Class of 2015 could be a big one. HSU has received a record number of applications for the fall semester next year.
Officials with the university said for the first time applications from freshmen jumped by nearly a thousand students to 12,390. Transfer students also surged 7.2 percent to over 3,200 applications. Cal State Universities as a whole saw record increases for all 23-campuses in the system. Nearly 800-thousand students applied for the fall of 2015.
Despite the surge of students, capacity issues will continue to be an issue due to funding limitations imposed by the state. For more information on applications and which schools are still accepting them, use the following link: CSU Mentor.
