ARCATA - HSU faculty and staff gathered Wednesday to celebrate the beginning of Spring semester and accept awards.

The Spring Meeting takes place each year to set priorities and goals for the spring semester. Faculty and Staff will focus on strategic planning processes and organization. Another traditional part of this event is a series of recognitions. Five faculty and staff members received awards for 35 years of service and ten others received outstanding staff awards. HSU president says, this meeting is a great opportunity for many reasons.

“One of the things I will be talking about in my remarks today, is a focus this semester on a number of things. I'm organizing it around words that start with C. As so, we'll be talking about connecting and this event is a great way to connect. People here on campus will talk about creativity, collaboration and particularly celebration,” said HSU President, Dr. Lisa Rossbacher.
