HSU to offer General Ed classes online.
Humboldt State University will become the first campus in the California State University system to offer a complete general education program online.
The new online General Ed package will be able to accommodate different learning styles like those trying to fit in an education while working or seniors with outstanding GE requirements just shy of graduation.
There will be twenty-one online courses eight weeks in length and they’ll run the gamut from Elementary Statistics to Introduction to Literature. Classes will start in the spring and summer of 2014.
In the last decade, online learning has grown an average of twelve percent annually. Those interested in learning online may sign up for the online GE Program through Open University. For more information, contact the College of E-Learning and Extended Education at 707-826-3731.
