ARCATA- Candidates to fill the position for the next President of Humboldt State University will be interviewed in San Francisco on Friday. The search committee made up of California State University Board of Trustees, Chancellor Timothy P. White, Humboldt State faculty and local members of the community will interview candidates.

The committee has been reviewing applications since their January forum at the university's campus. The Board has been using a hiring firm to narrow down the pool, but the committee has not conducted any interviews.

Mike Uhlenkamp, a spokesperson for the CSU Chancellor's Office said, if the interviews go well, the committee will make their decision at the end of the month. He did not reveal how many candidates they are interviewing, and did not say whether or not the finalists will tour the campus.
