Huffman supports protesters in Fort Bragg
SACRAMENTO - Congressman Jared Huffman has come out in support of protesters wearing “I Can’t Breathe T-Shirts in Fort Bragg.
Huffman who represents the city in the 2nd District spoke with school officials Monday and was pleased they reversed their decision and allowed protesters to exercise their first amendment rights. He was also thankful protesters expressed themselves in a non-violent manner.
Huffman was aware of the sensitive nature of the community especially since this year’s shooting of Deputy Sheriff, Ricky Del Fiorentino who died protecting citizens from an alleged violent criminal. The congressman called on those expressing themselves to continue to do so with restraint, non-violence and respect for others.
