Huge bails set for two Del Norte Men after high speed chase
CRESCENT CITY - Two Del Norte men are held on substantial bail amounts after they were charged with over twenty counts related to a high speed chase in Smith River.
On March 9th Brandon Jon Proctor and Aniel Jacob Cardy led law enforcement on a pursuit and allegedly fired on a sheriff’s deputy and his ride-a-long passenger. The suspects ended up crashing their vehicle. Cardy was arrested on scene and Proctor was on the loose until taken into custody this past Wednesday.
Proctor faces 14-counts including attempted murder of a peace officer. He is being held on 2-million dollars bond. Cardy is charged with nine counts and bail is set at 1.5-million dollars.
