SHELTER COVE- Sheriff Mike Downey has confirmed that a Sheriff's Deputy has been shot and wounded in the Shelter Cove area in what Sheriff Downey calls a "tactical situation." The deputy was shot when shots were exchanged. He was wearing a bullet proof vest and received some bruising and a sprained ankle. Swat team is in route to Shelter Cove where the suspect could be in a house. Downey said law enforcement knows who the suspect is, but is not releasing the name.  We have a reporter heading to the scene and will have more details as they become available.
