EUREKA- The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance Tuesday regulating outdoor medical marijuana grows on small parcels.
Dozens came out to the supervisor’s chamber to voice their opinions about the ordinance. At the meeting, the supervisors decided county code enforcement will address abatements related to the ordinance and there are no restrictions as to who can report violations.
Several community members spoke before the board expressing concerns over other limitations in the ordinance, including plant set back requirements from neighboring properties. The ordinance was modified to accommodate those concerns and will come back to the board for adoption in thirty days.
