The Humboldt/Del Norte chapter of the Red Cross received a twenty five thousand dollar grant. Coast Central credit Union donated the funds as part of their Community Giving Grants.

Fifteen thousand dollars of the money went to acquiring a fully- staffed disaster trailer that can be a temporary shelter for emergencies in our area. The rest of the funds will go towards valuable training for volunteers as well as tsunami training.

Barbara Caldwell, Executive Director of the Red Cross said the Humboldt/Del Norte Chapter was very thankful for the generosity of Coast Central Credit Union.
