Hydesville man arrested in Scotia pharmacy robbery, detained at Sacramento Intl. Airport
NORTH COAST- Nearly two weeks after the Palco Pharmacy in Scotia was robbed at gunpoint, police have arrested one suspect they believe to be involved. Samuel Zarth Rogers, 22 of Hydesville allegedly robbed the Palco Pharmacy on Dec. 17 and then took off to visit family for the holidays in Pennsylvania. Rogers is accused of robbing the pharmacy of both Oxycotin and Oxycodone.
On Dec. 18, detectives with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for Rogers for robbery and burglary. He was scheduled to fly into the Sacramento Intl. Airport Monday afternoon where Sacramento deputies waited for Rogers and arrested him at the airport.
He will be transported to the Humboldt County Jail.
