RIO DELL- Rio Dell police have seen an increase in property crime following two burglaries in December. According to Police Chief Graham Hill the burglaries were connected and the city has experienced an increase in vandalism.
The first burglary occurred on Dec. 7th on Pacific Avenue and the second happened five days later on Painter Street. Hill said a resident called the department about a suspicious person in the area. Police found the suspect with items from the home, hiding on the property with the help of Fortuna Police's K9 unit.
