Jury trial date set for Rancho Sequoia murder suspect
EUREKA- The alleged gunman in a fatal Southern Humboldt shooting last July appeared in court Wednesday. Matthew Brown of San Bernardino County is accused of killing 49-year-old Alderpoint resident Neil Decker in the Rancho Sequoia area.
In Wednesday’s pre-trial hearing, the attorneys confirmed Brown’s jury trial date of January 5. Brown is charged with one count of murder with two special allegations for the intentional use of a firearm and the use of a firearm resulting in death. He is currently being held on a one million dollars bail.
