Laptops stolen from Pacific View Charter School

EUREKA- 15 laptops have been stolen from a classroom at Pacific View Charter School. School officials said the computers were used on a daily basis and will cost the school $6,000 to replace.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office the principal of the school reported the theft at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. He told authorities that he did not know how the suspects got to the computers. The laptops were left in a cabinet inside a locked classroom. Authorities said there was no forced entry, but the principal said they could have entered through an unlocked window.

The computers that were taken are Aspire One laptop computers and are used for tests and in daily activities. Anyone with information is encouraged to call encouraged to call the Sheriffs Office at 707-445-7251 or the Sheriffs Office Crime Tip line at 707-268-2539.
