EUREKA- With their shopping list in hand, holiday shoppers rushed into stores to grab last minute gifts before Christmas. The Bayshore Mall was full with customers buying presents for family and friends before stores closed up for the holiday.
Gift wrappers inside the mall were busy wrapping presents on Christmas Eve. "Yesterday was okay, but it's been getting busier today." said Gift Wrapper Kandis Gritts.
Gritts said most of the shoppers were grabbing presents before time ran out. "Most people that came through said they were last minute shoppers," said Gritts.
Holley Russell, a last minute shopper, said she was buying some stocking stuffers and gifts for family. "Usually I have it all done, but this year I just had to wait till the last minute," said Russell.
Stores were offering up to fifty percent off items. Jairo Salas was shopping at the mall and said he always waits till the day before Christmas because he gets the best deals.
Salas said he gets a better idea of what people want as the holiday gets closer. "I'm not trying to get the same thing as every one else I'm trying to be unique," said Salas.
