EUREKA- Community residents lined up bumper to bumper in Eureka to watch a live nativity scene. The First Covenant Church has been doing the event for the past nine years and use 20 actors and live animals to bring the scenes to life.
Char Kellogg, the Director of the event says every year the event has grown bigger. "Their is a huge commitment on the part of our congregation to make sure that this happen," said Kellogg.
Every year the church gets help from about 50 volunteers to help make costumes, do lighting and set up the scene. "It's a huge undertaking but we have a lot of people who are willing to participate," said Kellogg.
