Local dairyman donates flagpole to St. Joseph's Hospital
Eureka - St. Joseph Hospital has a new flagpole thanks to a local citizen. The American flag once again is at full mast thanks to local dairyman and board of trustee member, Dennis Leonardi.
The old flagpole was previously removed to make room for the new patient care facility that was opened in 2012. The hospital had planned to install a new flagpole but up stepped Leonardi who generously donated it. Leonardi said, “So many employees, physicians and volunteers do so much for St. Joseph Health that installing a flag pole was the least I could do for the hospital and the community.”
