Local pet store saves dogs from Bay Area from being euthanized.
MCKINILEYVILLE – Nor Cal Pet in McKinleyville expanded their pet adoption services to include communities that are filled beyond capacity. It’s in support of the pet rescue community at large.
Store officials said many communities south of Humboldt put down wonderful animals every day. In some cases, if an owner brings a pet to a shelter, sometimes that pet has 3-days to find a home before it is euthanized. Recently, Nor Cal Pet saved five pets from the Bay Area and transported them back to Humboldt. For more information on adopting a pet, call: 707-839-9201.
