Local business owners are encouraging shoppers to extend their Black Friday spending for one more day to help support local businesses. Across the country and locally, businesses are participating in 'Small Business Saturday.'
Businesses are offering special deals and savings to bring customers out to their stores.
Eureka Main Street Executive Director, Charolette McDonald, said sales taxes from local businesses goes toward supporting community services like police and fire departments. "They are the life blood of our communities," said McDonald.
