Low to no cost solar panels available in Eureka, Arcata

EUREKA- Low income home owners on the North Coast have the chance to get low to no cost solar panels installed on their houses.

The non-profit organization Grid Alternatives works to promote renewable energy in rural communities throughout California.  Representatives of the organization will be in Eureka and Arcata this week to help people determine their eligibility for installing solar panels.  They will also recruit installation volunteers.  Homeowners who are PG&E customers, qualify financially, and have roofs with at least 10 years of remaining life will be eligible for the program.
